About me
Why does this podcast exist?
Laughing Brook
Following your heart can send you on an adventurous journey. I’ve always had something going with language. When I was 13, I started writing for science fiction fanzines and eventually published some myself. This also included an audio format, back then on audio cassettes.

Today I earn my money with words – as a translator and copywriter for world-renowned companies. Occasionally as an author. And then, as a nature coach, I accompany people on their path to making their next step. I have been called a “people whisperer”. If you are curious, find out more about that side of my work on my website changingheart.de (German) or at wildandhome.co.uk for my UK offerings.
This podcast, however, is a project very close to my heart. In it, I’m giving away my poetry and cast it into a new form – texts that have arisen from life and journeying through inner and outer worlds. Poetry is somehow a lot like a photo or a painting: a captured view that invites you to look at something from a certain perspective. By taking that perspective, you are taking a step from out of your normal, habitual way of looking at life and get to experience life through a different set of eyes. And similar to a picture, a poem invites you to take your time and let it sink in. And let yourself sink into it. Then new insights and views may arise, your consciousness changes. If I manage to touch you with this podcast and maybe contribute to your consciousness gradually progressing, then a heartfelt wish has come true.
I am a person who has very consciously chosen a path of sensuality. For me, sensuality is not an end in itself, but opens up a juicy, rich and manifold access to the world. This includes other humans, but also to the non- and more-than-human world. In sensuality – connecting with all of your senses, that is –, life begins to make sense. In this touch through the senses I experience life, the other, and ultimately the divine. Touch is more than just something I do with my body. Real touch comes from the heart and touches the heart. And in doing so, it transforms. Oh, there is so much life to experience…!
